Draw by Grid: Robot Dinosaurs
Robot Dinosaurs combines two character interests within a grid-reference task. This edition asks where the existing lines belong, whereas an invention exercise asks what an original machine-creature might become.
Copy a divided reference into matching drawing squares.

Understand the first drawing action
A divided reference tells the artist where a pictured line belongs. The standard Draw by Grid books have 106 pages with ages 5+ guidance. Copy corresponding squares to make the reference drawing, then compare that structured task with an independently interpreted shape.
A separate invention invitation
After using a reference, choose whether a new idea on spare paper sounds interesting. An original starting outline can suggest another subject or one small feature. That independent exercise is an optional companion activity, not a feature being added to this book.
Want to decide what the next picture becomes?
Shape Drawing Challenge gives artists 16 repeated beginnings, six illustrated examples per shape, and room for 480 independently chosen drawings.
